Below you can see the children in action.
Quad Kids with Mrs Hughes and the Young Leaders
The children took part in four different tasks:-
Long Jump, Throwing, Long Distance Run and a Sprint.
This event happens every year and the children are aiming to beat their personal best.
They had lots of fun and will be developing these skills in their P.E. lessons.
During the Spring term, one of our literacy focuses is poetry.
The children really enjoyed learning and performing 'Gran, Can you rap?'
Take a look at them in action!
Roald Dahl Day
On Monday 3rd October, the children took part in a dressing up day as characters from Roald Dahl stories. We have lots of fun activities planned for the rest of the week including making their own marvellous medicine and acting out scenes from George's Marvellous Medicine.
Can you guess which characters the children were dressed as?
George's Marvellous Medicine
Our focus book for Roald Dahl week was George's Marvellous Medicine. One of our activities was making our own Marvellous Medicine. The children brought in an ingredient and one by one added it to the medicine. The ingredients included toothpaste, smash, energy tablets, herbs, coca cola and many more.... Next week we will be doing some instructional writing to say how we made it.
In Year 3, we begin to learn the recorders. We have learnt notes B and A and are trying hard to read music. Here you can see us playing 'B Groovy' and 'B A Dood.'
APPLE DAY - 21.10.2016
The children had a great day tasting a variety of apples and making apple juice.
The children collected lots of different items found during the Autumn season and designed and made their own sculptures. What do you think?
